Sudipta Chakraborty

Speaker Home Sudipta Chakraborty is the Vice President – Group Legal & Compliance and Group Head for Governance & Compliance, Internal Restructuring, and Intellectual Property at the Aditya Birla Group. With 19 years of post-qualification experience, she is a seasoned General Counsel with a business-centric approach to managing complex legal, regulatory, forensic, and compliance mandates. She has extensive expertise in integrating processes, culture, and compliance across group and portfolio companies. She has built and scaled high-performing global and regional legal, compliance, and tax teams for start-ups as well as Fortune 100 companies, across various sectors. Her work spans multiple regions, including India, the USA, APAC countries, China, and Germany. Her key interest areas include privacy and technology laws, as well as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Sudipta is part of the Aditya Birla Group’s Global Legal Leadership Team and serves as a Board Member, further showcasing her leadership and strategic insights.

Saurabh Vaid

Speaker Home Saurabh Vaid is an Associate Partner at LexOrbis and a seasoned Patent Attorney enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and the Indian Patent Office. He is actively involved in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications across multiple jurisdictions, including the Indian Patent Office, the International Bureau (WIPO), USPTO, EPO, and others. His expertise extends to pre-grant opposition, post-grant opposition, and revocation proceedings. With extensive experience in providing patentability opinions, freedom-to-operate opinions, due diligence, patent landscape analysis, invalidation searches, and IP valuation, he specializes in technology domains such as software, internet, electrical, semiconductors, electronics, communication, image processing, and data networks. His comprehensive knowledge and practical approach make him a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex intellectual property matters in India and globally.
